Former Bafana Bafana defender Matthew Booth will be headline guest at the next edition of Diski Nites, a LIVE interactive take show hosted in Cape Town.
The decorated former centre-back, who played for close to 20 years as a professional, will speak on the topic “Sustainable Football Careers” on Wednesday, 30 March 2016.
He remains the only South African national footballer to be involved in the FIFA World Cup, Confederations Cup, under-20 World Cup, as well as Olympics.
“Diski Nites is continuously trying to raise the bar in terms of integrated football conversations,” says founder and host Sizwe Jacques Mbebe, Umjaka.
“Matthew Booth is one of the best football personalities to speak on the topic of ‘Sustainable Football Careers’. This is a guy that has enjoyed one of the longest careers as a footballer and has played in possibly the best Cape Town Spurs team ever and as far as Russia.
“He is amongst the greats of South African football. This is a guy who has a great and insightful story to tell. Fans and upcoming youngsters stand to benefit a lot from his experience as a player and personality in football.
“We are proud that Diski Nites is leading these types of conversations, and we hope they will hit home with the rest of country and hopefully continent soon.”
